01

Information We Collect

ProjLog is designed with a minimal-data philosophy. We collect only what is necessary to deliver and improve the app experience.

Data you create in the app

This data is stored locally on your device by default. If cloud backup is enabled (Pro feature), it is synced to secure cloud storage associated with your account.

Device & usage data

Account information (Pro users)

We never have access to your payment card details. All billing is handled entirely by Apple or Google.

02

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely for the following purposes:

We do not build behavioural profiles, sell your data to data brokers, or use your information for any purpose not listed above.

03

Data Storage & Security

Local storage

All time-log data you create is stored on-device using your operating system's secure local database. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable cloud sync (Pro feature).

Cloud storage (Pro)

If cloud sync is enabled, your data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher and stored encrypted at rest on our cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard access controls and conduct regular security reviews.

Retention

We encourage you to keep your device operating system and the ProjLog app up to date to benefit from the latest security patches.

04

Third-Party Services & Advertising

ProjLog uses a small number of trusted third-party services to operate:

Advertising (Free tier)

The free version of ProjLog displays ads to support ongoing development. We use contextual, non-personalised advertising. This means:

Upgrading to ProjLog Pro permanently removes all advertisements.

Analytics

We use a privacy-respecting, self-hosted analytics tool to receive anonymised in-app usage statistics. No personally identifiable information is included in these reports, and data is not shared with any advertising network.

App Store billing

In-app purchases are processed directly by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Their respective privacy policies govern how they handle your payment and purchase data.

05

Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal data under laws such as the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or CCPA. Regardless of location, we extend the following rights to all users:

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@projlog.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

06

Children's Privacy

ProjLog is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area and UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at contact@projlog.co.uk and we will take prompt steps to delete that information.

07

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide a more prominent notice — such as an in-app notification (Pro users) or an updated app store description.

Your continued use of ProjLog after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree with the revised policy, you may delete your account and stop using the app at any time.
